The European Certificate of Conformity Saab - COC Saab (Certificate of Conformity) is a document required to register an imported vehicle in France for a European Union countries.
The European Certificate of Conformity Saab - COC Saab (Certificate of Conformity) is an administrative document standard at European level which is determined by the manufacturers, and shows the characteristics of a motor vehicle and general compliance with standards of the country which it was manufactured. Called "European certificate of conformity" in the European Economic Area, it appeared in 1993, was made compulsory from the year 96 and ensures compliance with European regulations for safety and pollution.
Registration will be issued upon presentation of COC Maserati and other regulatory documents in force. This directive applies only to passenger vehicles of type M1 (transport maximum of eight people seated driver).
Directive 92/53/EEC harmonizing Community was proposed in 1992 to facilitate the resale of new and used vehicles in the European Community. It states that from 1 January 1996, the approval certificate (registration) in a Member State of a passenger vehicle shall certify compliance in all other states of the community in case of resale.
The COC Maserati is essential (Directive 70/156/EEC) to register a vehicle new or used imported from countries of the European Union. It will in the case of a vehicle EEC quick identification by the prefecture under the procedure known as "community reception."
The rule of "type-approval" or "receiving community" is effective in France for passenger vehicles in circulation in 1996 in Europe.
